Post Doc Research Assistanthttps://www.jobs.ac.uk/job/BNI936/research-associate-lighting-research-group

This is a 3-year post to work on a funded research project. The project involves detection whilst driving, our focus is the detection of pedestrians, and the PDRA would be working with one or more PhD students. This post would suit someone who has recently completed a PhD which involved laboratory-based experimental work.

Lecturer in architectural sciencehttps://www.jobs.ac.uk/job/BNJ796/lecturers-in-architectural-science

While this advert has a broad focus in architectural science, the plan is that one of the two posts will be for lighting. It is a permanent post. It would suit someone with a PhD in lighting, and has a few years subsequent experience as a PDRA or a lecturer. You would need to show a good record of journal publications, success at funding bids and/or teaching experience. The lighting lecturer will work within the Lighting Research Group, so please check the website to see how you could fit in. The main focus is outdoor lighting for pedestrians and cyclists: you could either compliment that work or have ideas for radically different projects.
